The Miami Finance Forum is a not-for-profit membership organization comprised of professionals and executives from the world of finance, investment management, banking, capital markets, private equity, venture capital, legal, accounting and related fields. The organization’s main objective is to provide a conduit for its members to meet on a regular basis in order to establish meaningful and relevant business relationships. Through our events, the Miami Finance Forum aims to promote networking and contact among industry professionals, provide its members with educational and career development opportunities, and to create a forum for the general advancement of South Florida as a leading global financial marketplace.
The Florida International Bankers Association (FIBA), Inc., is a non-profit trade association founded in 1979. Its membership includes some of the largest financial institutions in the world. This includes more than 70 foreign and domestic banks. In addition to major banks from Europe, the US and Latin America who are active in international trade and finance in our hemisphere.
The primary focus of FIBA members is Latin America trade finance, international correspondent banking and international wealth management/private banking services for non-residents. These activities help facilitate North-South trade and capital flows
FIBA has long been recognized by regulators and law enforcement for its knowledge and expertise in anti-money laundering (AML) compliance and its excellent training programs. FIBA has offered AML training for more than two decades, including the successful FIBA Annual AML Compliance Conference, attended by over 1300 AML professionals from around the world and the FIBA AMLCA and AMLCP Certifications, in partnership with Florida International University (FIU).
FIBA provides specialized AML certification and training to industry practitioners. Regularly scheduled FIBA meetings provide a continuing source of the latest and best industry expertise and practical information.
FIBA works closely with FELABAN, the Federation of Latin American Banks, which represents over 600 financial institutions throughout Latin America, hosting their prestigious FELABAN Annual Assembly in Miami every other year. This event brings nearly 2,000 people to Miami to conduct business over three days of intensive meetings.
As a leading trade organization focused on international banking and finance, FIBA frequently meets with regulators in Washington, submits comment letters and position papers, and is a respected voice in the industry.

The FIBA Wealth Management Forum will bring together top experts from across the financial sector to provide an overall perspective on the industry as well as explore the challenges and opportunities resulting from global and regional changes. FPA of Miami is a regional chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA®), the national leadership and advocacy organization representing the financial planning community. Based in Denver, Colo., FPA represents more than 25,000 members nationwide and is involved in all facets of providing financial planning services and works in alliance with academic leaders, legislative and regulatory bodies, financial services firms and consumer interest organizations.
FPA’s Primary Aim is to be the community that fosters the value of financial planning and advances the financial planning profession. Whereas the public expects to experience a high level of confidence, trust and clarity in relationships with professionals trained in the distinct process and discipline of financial planning, it is essential that they obtain a commitment of professional care, quality and excellence in the services they receive.
CFA Society Miami (CFAM) is a member society of CFA Institute, a global membership organization that awards the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and strives to lead the investment profession globally by setting the highest standards of ethics, education and professional excellence. CFAM is a non-profit organization founded in 1991. It was initially established as the Miami Society of Financial Analysts and was renamed CFA Miami in 2004. CFAM serves as the knowledge core for the local investment community by promoting active participation among its members and sponsoring a forum of speaking engagements on timely and relevant topics spanning accounting, derivatives, economics, ethics, fixed income and equity markets, and securities.
The Estate Planning Council of Greater Miami is the premier local organization for all professionals involved in the estate planning process. Since 1949 it has conducted high quality seminars and meetings for the sole mission of educating its members and promoting best practices. The Council provides an active forum for networking with the best practitioners in the field. STEP is the worldwide professional association for practitioners dealing with family inheritance and succession planning. STEP helps to improve public understanding of the issues families face in this area and promotes education and high professional standards among its members.
STEP has 18,500 members across 80 jurisdictions from a broad range of professional backgrounds, including lawyers, accountants, trust specialists and other practitioners in this area. STEP members help families plan for their futures, specialising in a wide range of activities, from drafting a relatively simple will to more complex issues surrounding international families, protection of the vulnerable, family businesses and philanthropic giving.
The Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants serves as the association for all CPAs certified in the state. Founded in 1905, the FICPA has been working to advance the accounting profession in Florida for more than 100 years and now has more than 18,500 members. Continued membership growth and renewal has made the FICPA one of the largest CPA organizations in the United States.

The Partnership for Philanthropic Planning is a not-for-profit organization providing training, education, information and collaboration to gift planners to enhance philanthropy in South Florida.
The South Florida Association for Financial Professionals (SFAFP) provides a forum for members to keep abreast of new developments in the rapidly changing field of Treasury/Cash Management and Finance. SFAFP has offered members excellent opportunities to expand their knowledge of cash management principles, finance trends, and economic updates. Our luncheons and events are a great place to meet and network with professionals and executives in banking, accounting, legal, public, corporate, and the professional community. The Greater Miami Tax Institute is a non-profit organization and was started in 1961. It is a an organization that is focused on technical topics and conversations dealing with technical tax topics. Because there are plenty of organizations that have meetings solely for marketing and networking, we do not allow marketing at our meetings, however we do encourage our members to form strong business relationships.
The GMTI is comprised of Tax Attorneys, CPAs focused in taxation and CLUs. We hold dinner meetings in Miami eight times per year with guest speakers on a variety of topics. Our members and our Past Presidents are among the top professionals in tax in Miami (and some nation-wide in their subject areas).
Women In Insurance & Financial Services (WIFS) South Florida. The South Florida Chapter of WIFS was started in 1983 by a group of women, led by our first President Tanya Pages, CFP, CLU, ChFC, determined to create an outstanding professional organization that understood the unique challenges facing women in the industry! It was their vision to help women meet those challenges through support, encouragement, understanding and knowledge. Since that time through Chapter membership many of our members have not only endured and met those challenges but have become hugely successful both personally and financially.
